Privacy Policy

Your Data

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service. Your questionnaire answers are stored securely and are only accessible to you and your partner. When you choose email delivery, we store both email addresses so we can send the partner invite and a single expiry reminder before results are deleted.

Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the site is used and improve the experience. We don't sell or share your data with third parties, because fuck that (not in a good way).

Data Retention

Questionnaire data is deleted 30 days after it is created. You can also delete it sooner with the delete results form on your results page. We keep a hashed record of expiry reminder sends for a few months so we do not email the same address twice, and we keep hashed unsubscribe requests so we honour them after the questionnaire is gone. We never store those reminder records as plaintext email addresses.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Carnal: Stripe (payment processing), Google Analytics (analytics), Mailgun (transactional email). Each processes only the minimum data required for its function.
